Finally. And when I say my editing is done, I mean the 11th round of my editing is done. And now onto looking for an agent or publisher. And then they will want to edit it yet again. But I just can’t look at it anymore. I can say I’m happy with it. I’m sure they won’t be. But that’s ok, because they are ultimately the ones who have to like it. 

Agent or Publisher?

If been tossing both around. Do you go with an agent or straight to a publisher? I have decided, I think I may do both. 

I think going after the big publishing houses is out of the question, having only published a few short articles and stories, so I’m aiming for the mid-size and small indie publishing houses. Reedsy has a good list available that you can search on at https://blog.reedsy.com/publishers/mystery-crime/page/2/ for your genre. I think I’m going to start there for the publishers. No vanity publishers for me. I’d just self publish before doing that. 

I haven’t even started looking at agents. But I think I’ll look for as many as I can and query them as well. Maybe I could get one of them to bite. I’m just happy to be into this next leg of the journey. And to be able to start writing my next book. 

I need a change.
